The 20th century Europe
fantasy prints exhibition

Thursday 9 February - Sunday 25 March 2012

The fantasy print in Europe can be traced back to the Durer, Bruegel, and Jack Callot era in ancient times. Goya, Delacroix, Meryon, Bure Dan, Redon, Rops and others left many works after that in the 19th century.
We exhibit fantasy print work on the 20th century, especially Wienerschule's one this time. Wienerschule originated centering on Vienna after a world war, and the artists of the circumferences including Germany followed him. They expressed fantastically the empty feeling after the mental oppression by war, by splendid color and fine depiction. It can also be said to be the realism expressing the inside of the heart.
Since I exhibit and introduce about 30 items, please view.
